Some people might think cheerleaders go to camp to learn new cheers and sidelines. While this is true, it's not the only reason cheerleaders should attend camp. Fourth year UCA Intstructor Kim feels, “It is important for cheerleaders to go to camp because it's a unique opportunity that only comes around once a year. The combination of learning new skills, building great friendships, interacting with the staff, and being around other teams is an experience you can’t get at a football game, competition, or practice.”
“It is also a great time to bond with your friends. Not only do you get to know and love your teammates, but you grow and improve as a team," Kim continues. "Camp is a really exciting time because you get to learn and try new things, and the whole time you are making some of the best memories of your life!”
Ryan Salsgiver, IL State Director says Kim is the ideal cheerleader. Ryan says, "She's an excellent student, extremely talented, and a team player. Any squad she is on is better because of her presence. On top of all of this she is an awesome teacher and works extremely well with the students.”
