2011 Alabama Youth Competition
Dear Youth Cheerleading Director, I am writing to let you know that we have set the dates for the 2011 Alabama Youth Competition. The Youth Championships will be Sunday, November 13th at Vestavia Hills High School- Vestavia Hills, AL. All forms and money is due Wednesday, November 2, 2011 and the order of competition will be randomly drawn on November 9, 2011. We will begin with check in starting at 12:30 PM for mascots, Junior Divisions I, II, III, and IV only. Check in time for Senior Divisions I, II, and III will be at 3:30 PM. The competition itself will start at 2 p.m. We suggest that all team members be present with the coach and team to check in and enter the facility. This is in order to assure that no team members get separated from their groups. In response to your surveys and the tremendous growth of the event, we will be running two separate judging panels in an effort to move the event along more quickly for you and the participants. Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) is the world’s largest cheerleading organization in the industry. We conduct cheerleading camps and competitions in all 50 states, with over 280,000 participants and coaches. UCA is the administrator of the National High School Cheerleading Championships which are aired on ESPN and espn2. We are honored to once again be hosting such a tremendous event.
