LaSalle High School Goes Pink!
When we think of October, orange and black are usually the colors that come to mind. But there is another color we should remember this month: PINK!
During the month of October, pink represents Breast Cancer Awareness, and cheerleaders from all over the country are getting involved to help spread awareness. The LaSalle cheerleaders from St. Ignace, Michigan are getting involved by teaming up with their girls basketball team.
For the past two years, the LaSalle cheerleaders and basketball players have dedicated one of their basketball games to Breast Cancer Awareness.
At the game, the cheerleaders and basketball players wear pink uniforms. The cheerleaders also sell pink rooter poms during the game and donate the proceeds to their local hospital’s oncology department.
LaSalle High School is a small Class C school, but that hasn’t stopped them, they have still managed to make a big impact in their school and community.
Thanks to the LaSalle cheerleaders and their coach Susan Horn for reminding their community of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
