Jenna Smith
Jenna Smith, a junior at Bethel College, has been cheering for over 8 years and still loves every minute of it.
While Jenna has always kept busy during the winters with practice and cheering for games, she wanted to keep involved with cheerleading all year around, so she tried out for UCA staff. She’s currently been on staff for 3 years and couldn’t think of a better way to spend her summers than teaching other cheerleaders, who loved cheering as much as she does!
Jenna says, “UCA camps are beneficial for the cheerleaders because it prepares them
for their games by not only teaching sidelines, but teaching them the difference between offence and defense and how to use that knowledge in games back home.”
Beside the material, Jenna feels another important part of camp is private coaching. “I always seem to get the closet to the squads I private coach, and I thoroughly enjoy working one-on-one with squads.”
“Jenna is a great asset to have in our region,” says Kristin Funston, Midsouth Regional Assistant, “because she is a hard worker and the campers love her!”
