Looking for AACCA certified Cheer Coach's ALL levels (Fresh, JV, Varsity). Coaching positions available are for both Football and Basketball season 2012-2013. We are seeking coaches that are outgoing, organized, and work well young adults. Cheer experience preferred but not required. Pay ranges from $1,500-$2,000 per season. Fast growing Cheer and Dance gym seeking experienced Cheer coach.
Open since 2008, Valley Cheer and Dance in San Ramon, CA is a positive, progressive and professional program where coaches are revered and athletes are groomed to be the best possible Cheerleader and teammate. We have more than doubled in size every year and, in anticipation of another great year, we are adding to our professional staff.
We require the qualified applicant to possess:
- A passion for Cheerleading
- At least 2 years of proven experience in coaching a high school or all star cheer team
- Ability to work with youth and teens ages 8 to 18 and foster a positive and encouraging environment while setting clear, concise and strict expectations of each team member in accordance with Valley’s guidelines.
- A high moral and ethical character.
- Ability to teach stunting and refine and improve the overall routine.
Our desired skills include:
- Ability to teach high level tumbling skills including back handsprings, tucks and layouts.
Other expectations:
- Must be willing to work at every practice (currently practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays for 2 hours in the evening)
- Season runs from May to March, however, April schedule will include clinics and tryouts where coaches are scheduled to work.
- Must attend all competitions October through March. (Hours at competitions are compensated.)
- You will be asked to attend events where we showcase our teams and promote our program.
